Many students at CalUniversity quickly note that the classroom experience is more involved, more interactive, and more dynamic than they have ever experienced before. This is because of our ADVISE program, a unique educational platform designed to make learning interactive and train students to become leaders. This system works through five steps:

A: Analytical Learning

By analyzing cases from the real business world, as well as analyzing cases presented through engaging videos, students learn how to approach different situations and understand the complex reality of the business world. By practicing analysis while at CalUniversity, you'll learn what questions to ask, how to become a reflective thinker, and how to hypothesize and theorize until you find the right solution. This results in students who are clear, logical thinkers and who know how to achieve success.

D. Descriptive Learning

We believe in self-learning and motivational learning. This means that our students engage with information from learning guides and course material specialized to each course. You're also able to gain information from suggested readings, articles, and related materials that will enhance the concepts most important to your goals and your future career.

V. Visualization of Ideas

The first step in achieving your dreams is visualizing your goals and understanding how to make them possible. Our students learn to practice VPA (Vision Plan and Action). This leads you from visualizing what you want to achieve, to planning how to make those goals possible, and finally to putting those goals into practice. This is an important step in continual Career Development Planning, which shows students that focus and motivation are often the key to success.

I. Interactive Assessments

Assessment is an important step in the learning process. It helps both the instructors and you measure your advancement. We use examinations through every course to provide immediate feedback and guidance. Our students also form a VPA living document. This document keeps track of your vision and your success, and allows you to amend your progress and your goals as you move through each class. By remembering your goals (and remembering that your goals can change), we give you the focus and motivation needed to complete your degree.

S. Split Testing

The other students you take courses with often have a wealth of lessons they can share (just as you do, too). One way we make use of these lessons is through split testing. Much like debates, split testing encourages the exchange of ideas and interactive collaboration through message boards and other online forums. By using SWOTT analysis as well, you'll learn to look at every idea based on its Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats, and Trends.

E. Exploring the industry

Finally through exploring the industry and documenting your research findings you will produce a report that will integrate what has been learned.

Through the ADVISE system, every one of our students becomes an active learner, engaged and active in your education.
